During our work tour through Europe for ITC, we had a few days free. We decided to stop in Slovenia for two nights as it was on the way to our next destination anyway. We did a small detour to the mountains, which was really worth it. We booked a little room with a very nice view. Even though the weather was really good in the rest of Europe, it was very cold where we stayed ? Luckily I still had my winter jacket in the car, as our tour was so long. Triglavski national park is worth a visit. Our first small hike went to Savica waterfall. The nature was truly amazing. David said it reminds him the Yosemite National Park in the US. Our next adventure was to take a lift up the mountain for lunch with a nice view. It was so cold up there, still some snow and the wind felt like sticking needles to the face. I mean, the view was really great, but I was so cold ? Later that day, we went to Blejsko lake. This place is famous for it’s church in the middle of the lake. We walked around the whole lake with Nelly. Unfortunately we did not visit the church as you need to take a boat. After a long day, we had some local special food in our hotel and the next day we continued our trip for ITC. Had you ever been to Slovenia? Which other country would you recommend to visit for amazing nature and hikes/walks?
