It is very difficult for me to write this diary post. As you maybe already know, Sara went to the dog’s heaven last week. We have lost a family member, which we miss so so much. During the last days of our trip to Mexico with ITC, my mum wrote me Sara wasn’t doing so well, she didn’t want to eat anymore and nearly didn’t react to anything. As she had this a few times before in the past and she was a strong little fighter, we thought and hoped she would pull through as she always did. By the time we arrived back in Prague, she lost a lot of weight but she did react to us and she even ate a cookie again. On our way to Belgium she even briefly wiggled her tail from happiness but we could see she was exhausted. The day after we had to leave to the UK for two days for the OT shoots. This time Nelly and Sara stayed with David’s parents. They called the veterinary to ask advice and took really good care of her but she again didn’t want to eat and the second day she barely reacted to anything. When we arrived back from the UK in the evening, she reacted to us but could barely keep her head up, she couldn’t stand anymore, it was really sad to see. The morning after, we immediately called the veterinary in hope she could help our Sara but the vet said her blood circulation was failing and unfortunately there was nothing she could do, Sara was too far gone. It broke our hearts but we had to let her go so she would not suffer any longer. We stayed with her and hold her in our arms the whole time, so she wasn’t alone during her last moments and she knew we love her. Also Nelly was there with us and is very sad, she misses her little friend. Sarinka would be 16 years old in May. She liked food, helping in the kitchen, suntanning, sitting on our lap. She was a very brave girl, the beginning of her life was not the best as the previous owners did not treat her well. She used to be with us almost all the time. In between shooting sets, we went to cuddle them, gave them a cookie, go for walks, or Nelly and Sara came to look for us together if we took too long,… now Nellinka is alone and looking to us with a sad and wondering expression, thinking where Sara stays, why isn’t she coming back??? It’s very hard to be home or do our regular stuff at this moment. We had all we had to do after Mexico well planned to catch up on the work we were running behind on due to the travelling, but now we feel wrecked because of the loss of one of our little babies, our dogs are like our kids to us. We apologise for the delay in updates! For her memory, I picked a couple of pictures, which are showing her personality I think. Sara will be always in our hearts, pity that she cannot join us anymore for some more walks ? We miss her on every step. Farewell little ♥️ Sarinka ♥️ We love and miss you!!
